A Temple in Motion


In another metaphor, Paul reminds us that as believers we are living, breathing, moving-around-town temples in which God resides. John tells us we abide in Him and He in us (John 15:1-9). If we actually believed this in a dynamic way, how would it affect how we treat our bodies? I believe purity, cleanliness, integrity, proper diet, and exercise would take on a whole new dimension.




Prayer: Lord in Heaven, how is it possible that You choose to somehow ‘live’ in and through me? It seems so remarkable that this body I see in the mirror is somehow your temple! Thank You for the privilege; help me to clean house. Make me a temple fit for You in every way possible. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
