Meet The New Youনমুনা
PHASE 5: A VIBRANT NEW VISION
Press On
I’m not a runner, plain and simple. The shear thought of pounding the ground in a running motion for more than 50 feet makes me shudder. A lifetime of knee injuries and back problems simply prohibits me from any impact sport.
However, in my mind’s eye, I can see myself running through life like Eric Liddell and his teammates in Chariots of Fire. The music propels them into motion as their feet hit the sand, kicking up a storm cloud and inspiring me to get out of my chair and attempt to join them. Oh how exhilarating it must be to move your body with such passion and strength.
With that vicariously caught adrenalin rush, I wonder if we can turn from considering our athletic prowess (or lack thereof) toward considering the journey of faith still ahead of us? What if we ran this spiritual race with equally matched zeal? What if we pursued the things of Christ with such passion? What if we pressed on to the finish line of our life with a commitment to building our faith like the way an athlete must strengthen their bodies? What kind of conditioning do we need to endure? What type of care must we give our souls? What spiritual nourishment do we need to give our bodies?
It’s time, my friend, for us to press on toward the finish line with renewed passion and focused purpose. God has given us a race to run. Let us run it well for the sake of the next generation and His glory.
Trap and Transform
1. How can you go about conditioning your mind, body, and soul for this journey of faith?
2. When you reach the finish line, what do you want God to say to you?
3. When your race is over, what do you want others to say about the way you ran?

About this Plan
When we look to the Word of God as our baseline for how to live, we’ll discover where our thinking needs to change to conform to God’s best for us. That’s exactly what this 21-day journey is all about.
