GOD IN SOCIAL MEDIA

DAY 11 OF 12

Day #11 - #Self Control

How much hypocrisy is supported through social networks! Is it not hypocritical to communicate that we love God, but that our private actions do not demonstrate it?

As Jesus would say:

“It is bad for you, blind leaders! You say, ‘Whoever makes a promise by the house of God, his promise is worth nothing. But whoever makes a promise by the gold of the house of God, then his promise has to be kept.”  Matthew 23:16 NLV

Our social media is a reflection of our intimacy with God, and not a superficial mirage, full of hypocrisy. When we say that we love God, our publications and our life do demonstrate it.

When we have self-control, we do not lose our temper at the first difficulty or problem that comes our way, nor do we get angry easily. This applies to how we react when someone posts something on social media, which we disagree with, or something we know has been posted maliciously.

Having self-control is the result of submitting ourselves to God, having experienced all the other spheres of the fruit of the Spirit, and allowing Him to transform our lives with His love.

If you have not yet understood the magnitude of God's love for you, I invite you to read part of the prayer that Jesus made, before he died, for his disciples and for us who have believed in him (John 17). When we recognize that God sees and loves us in the same way that he loves Jesus, we can live our lives according to that truth and what we share on social networks will be to remind others of this great truth as well.

✅ Godlist™ for Social Media: Would God post, share or like this?

• Before liking or sharing a post, think: With this publication am I really in control of my emotions?

• Before making a publication, evaluate: With this post, do I control and measure my words so as not to sin against my neighbor?

• Before commenting on a publication, consider: Does what I am about to write reflect the self-control of Christ in my life?

About this Plan

GOD IN SOCIAL MEDIA

This plan will help you understand that sharing God on social media is a blessing. Its author teaches us how life situations give way to the fruit of the Holy Spirit maturing in each one of us believers, so that we can share God correctly in our private life and also in our social media.
