DAY 3 OF 7

NOT MAKING A WRONG CHOICE

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16 NIV)

God created men and gave them free will so they can choose what they want to do. If we make a wrong choice, we bear the regrets and the consequences, maybe for months or even years. That is why we need God’s wisdom in making a choice and decision.

Jesus taught us to daily be on our guard as the devil always find the right time to offer something to us. If we are careless, we will be attracted to it and caught in his trap. Therefore, we need to take consideration before making any decisions and whether or not what we are planning to do is according to the Word of God.

Like a little child who has taken a shower in the evening and his parents will not allow him to play in a dirty place, God also does not want us who have been sanctified by the blood of Jesus to be willing to surrender our lives again to a life of sin.

The Internet is a helpful thing, but if we misuse it, the wrong information can enter and contaminate our mind. The devil continuously tries to steal the peace in our heart; therefore we need to be on our guard and also shrewd in our actions but remain innocent in all our motivations.

In this world, only God is able to satisfy our hearts and only God is the most beautiful one in our lives. Therefore, as believers, may all of us be able to experience the beauty of God every day of our lives.

Whatever we labour in will be in vain if we do not guard our lives carefully.
