There's Hope For Today

DAY 101 OF 366

How can you compare what cannot be measured? The comparison of religions is quite easily drawn, but God is not religion. He is above all, in all, and over all. Isaiah’s fortieth chapter draws one indisputable conclusion: God is incomparable. All adjectives fail to describe Him. All superlatives fail to grasp Him. He exceeds the most excellent. He succeeds all measure of greatness.

When we study our great God in the Scriptures, we find immeasurable love, unspeakable joy, amazing grace, surpassing peace, irrational mercy, incredible hope, incorruptible power, unshakable covenant, inscrutable wisdom, unwavering faith, and abundant life. When feeble comparisons are drawn, He remains unmatched, unbeatable, incomprehensible, and untouchable. He is perfectly supreme.

It is no wonder that the Jews found it impossible to describe Him in a single name. All who oppose Him are soon withered and gone. All who deny Him join the company of fools. All who ignore Him are destined to bow. All who reject Him reject life itself.

Yet to those who will seek Him, He becomes a Father and a friend. The only concept more staggering than His colossal greatness is His knowledge and love of you and me.
