There Is Power in the Name of Jesusনমুনা
God wants you to know that He’s with you!
When a child comes into the world, one of the first things he/she receives is his/her first name. This name often has a meaning and marks the child’s identity. For example, did you know that in Hebrew, the name Gabriel means “God is my strength”?
God wanted us to know that He is truly with us, so much so that He made it Jesus’s identity by giving Him the name Emmanuel, meaning “God with us.”
The Bible says, “‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which is translated, ‘God with us.’” Matthew 1:23
What does this inspire within you, knowing that God the Father wanted you to be able to remember, every time you think about Jesus, about Emmanuel, that He is with you?
Yes, He is with you. Right now and for always! Thank You, Jesus, for being God with us.
You are a miracle!

About this Plan
In this reading plan we will look at different names for the Son of God from the book of Isaiah. In the Old Testament, the prophet Isaiah announced the birth of Jesus, about 700 years before His birth. Different names are used for Him and each of these names reveals something of the heart of the Father. Written by Eric Celerier for A Miracle Every Day.
