YOU ARE ENOUGHনমুনা
Well, so far 2020 has been a pretty difficult year for most of us, and we’re only half-way through! I’m sure I’m not alone in looking forward to 2021 and eager to put the stresses of the pandemic behind us. In short, I’m hoping for better times ahead. Reading Romans, Paul would have us apply this kind of hopefulness to our whole lives, not just as a coping mechanism when the going gets tough.
Christian hope is profoundly different to wishful thinking, or even predictive thinking. I can’t know that 2021 will be a better year than 2020, but I absolutely can know that Heaven is real, Heaven is perfect, and that Jesus has made a place for me there. Take this knowledge to heart; stew in it; meditate on it and see your faith blossom whether life is dealing you joy or sadness.
How does hoping (not wishing!) for Heaven change your attitude to your current suffering?
Prayer: Father, we know that you do care about our suffering. Please help me as I battle with the heartaches, pains and struggles that this pandemic has given us. Keep me from despondency and enliven me to continue trusting you in all things and looking forward to Heaven. Amen.

About this Plan
It can seem like the world is full of messages telling you that you are not good enough, smart enough, spiritual enough…or even that you are too much. It’s too easy to let these pull you down and suck the joy out of your day. But what does the Bible say about your value? This devotion series will offer you a daily reminder of your worth and value in Christ.
