You Are a Gift: And Gifts Are Meant to Be Given

DAY 7 OF 7

It has been a privilege to walk with you this week through Scripture and to explore how God has created each of us uniquely for such a time as this.

Through Jesus' example of stepping into the "pandemic of our brokenness," we've learned that we have all the riches of heaven—and indeed, heaven itself—at our disposal. We have life (heart, soul, mind, and strength), as well as innate and spiritual gifts bestowed on us by our Heavenly Father to love and serve one another.

As we end our time together, I want us to consider again all that we have and how we are made to water others.

You truly are God's gift to the world!

Watering Others

The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. —Proverbs 11:25

Abundance.

Every day…
…we get 1,440 minutes;
…we breathe over 23,000 times;
…our hearts beat around 115,000 times;
…we have ~60,000 thoughts;
…we speak ~15,000 words.
Every. Day.

And every one of them is a gift. We don’t deserve them. We can’t earn them. We can’t get them back.

How will you spend them?

Reflection

What comfort have you been given that you can comfort others? What riches have you received that you can pour out on those God has brought into your life?

How can you gift others with your words, your comfort, your time, your hospitality?

Reflection

You are God’s gift to the world for such a time as this.
How does God want you to give yourself away today?

Thank You

I hope this reading plan has been a blessing to you and helped you fall more deeply in love with our Savior, who created you as a gift to the world, and wants you to give yourself away for His sake.

About this Plan

You Are a Gift: And Gifts Are Meant to Be Given

We often read the story of Esther and consider that “for such a time as this” moments are always huge, society-changing, mass deliverance-causing, headline-making times. But every day the Lord has ordained for us in this world is “such a time” for which we were created. Our gifts, our light, our relationship with Jesus (and with one another), our words, thoughts, and deeds are needed every day.
