Personal Growth - Luke 2:52নমুনা
Jesus grew in wisdom.
Today’s focus is on wisdom. In Luke 2:52 God’s Word says, “Jesus grew in wisdom.” If Jesus can grow in wisdom then we can too. There is nothing more valuable to our personal growth than wisdom. Proverbs 4:7 (CSB) reminds us that “Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
Wisdom is valuable, costly, and also continuous. Leaders are learners and we never stop learning. Proverbs 9:9 (NIV) says, “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.” The wise person is not a know-it-all but a learn-it-all. Wisdom also brings blessing. Proverbs 3:13 (NIV) says, “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.”
Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord, therefore it is spiritual. Proverbs 9:10 (NIV) tell us, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Wisdom comes through understanding and obeying the teaching of the Bible. If we want to become wise we must see the Bible as our manual for living. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 tells us about the wisdom that the Bible offers for all areas of our life: “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
We can grow in wisdom as we guard our minds from worldly influences which means that wisdom is pure. Psalm 101:3 (WEB) says, “I will set before my eyes no vile thing.” We also can grow in wisdom as we choose the right friends which means that wisdom is relational. As Proverbs 13:20 (NLV) says, “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
