DAY 9 OF 9

Guidance from Above

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture … is useful for correcting faults and teaching how to live right.

At that time the Israelites did not have a king. So everyone did what he thought was right. Micah had a temple for worshipping idols. He wanted to worship God, but the god he worshiped was the wrong god. Since there was no Godly leader in Israel at that time, he had no one to correct his mistake.

This is what happens if someone does not have anybody to correct him when he is wrong or to guide him to do the right thing. He will just do what he thinks is right, just like Micah. And this is very dangerous.

As children of God, we are very blessed to have the Bible as our life guidance. The Bible corrects our faults and teaches us how to live right. However, sometimes when you read the Bible, you might not understand some parts of it. Pray to God to give you the understanding. You can also ask your parents, your pastor or your Sunday school teacher to explain it to you.

Prayer

Dear God, give me wisdom and understanding whenever I read Your Word. I need Your guidance in everything I do. Amen.
