Real Hope: Sovereign Godনমুনা
LET GOD TAKE CHARGE
Life or its circumstances can seem overwhelming sometimes. Things just don’t go right; they seem unfair and there is no end in sight. What to do? Where to turn? Whom to trust? Who’s in charge?
King David wrote this psalm to praise God that He was with David during a time of difficulty. He praises God because God delivered him out of the depths and those who were against him did not triumph. He called out to God for help and he was heard. He knew that God is sovereign over every situation.
These verses are really encouraging because we can call out to God. He hears us, He answers prayer, He heals us, and He is sovereign.
We are in a relationship with God and that means we can bring to Him anything that is on our hearts and minds and tell Him about them. We can rest assured that He hears every word we say out loud and in our hearts.
God works in His own time; He works for a time that is right for us. He can do this because He is sovereign over all creation and over all situations. His timing is always perfect, and through our relationship with Him we see that time and again. Proverbs 16:9 says it perfectly: ‘In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.’
Let the sovereign Lord take charge.
