What Is Baptism? A Guide for Parents and Preteensনমুনা
What Are the Next Steps for Baptism?
So, guess what? That’s it. Today’s your last day with this Bible Plan.
While you read this Bible Plan, you might have decided to give your life to Jesus! While you read this Bible Plan, you might have decided it’s time for you to go public with your faith and be baptized! While you read this Bible Plan, you might have felt even closer to God than you ever have before.
That’s absolutely fantastic!
So, what’s next for you? It might be time for you to take a leap of faith and decide to follow Jesus. And if you’ve already taken that leap, it might be time for you to decide to be baptized at your church. Be sure to spend some time today talking with a trusted adult about these things. They’re important. And, if you’re ready, then be sure you’re talking with your church leaders to make sure you know what steps to take before being baptized in your church community. Maybe you’ve already done that, and that’s great, too!
Pray and discuss today’s questions with an adult you trust.
Pray Together
God, when the time is right, please encourage us to be baptized to show the world that we belong to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Talk Together
- Share something from this whole Bible Plan that you want to talk more about.
- What do you think makes people want to get baptized?
- What do you think people do when they’re ready to be baptized?
- How can you tell if you’re ready to get baptized?
- If you were going to get baptized, who would you invite and what would you do to celebrate?
Read the verses for today. Take turns sharing what you think they mean and what questions you have about them.
