A Believer's Response During a Crisisনমুনা
An Unshakeable Faith
“If calamity comes upon us whether the sword of judgment or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.” 2 Chronicles 20: 9
Jehoshaphat prayed this prayer with such faith. Faith is an important element in prayer. The core of a believer’s life is this faith. A faithless prayer will never get us anywhere.
In Jehoshaphat’s prayer, he incorporates:
1. His position
"...Whether war or flood or disease or famine, we will stand and you will hear us."
2. God’s position and providence
He mentions, "...God, are you not the one in the heaven? Power and might are in your hands!"
3. God’s great power and His wondrous previous acts
"...In the past, you delivered us and you will deliver us now when we cry out to you."
4. His defenselessness
We see humility. Jehoshaphat did not boast about their army but simply said, "...God, I’ve got no power."
5. His unshakable faith
"...We have nowhere to look but our eyes are on You." Jehoshaphat knew if he had taken his eyes away from God, then he would surely be shaken. But he believed in God who would bring victory in this battle.
We go on to read that the Spirit of the Lord fell upon on Jahaziel, a Levite, and he said, "Don’t be afraid or discouraged of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s."
The crisis that you are facing—God will fight for you. Be still and see the healing, victory, and the breakthrough that God is going to bring into your life.
Take away:
An unshakeable faith pleases God: To see a breakthrough in crisis, have an unshakeable faith that moves mountains.

About this Plan
A sudden crisis disrupts everything, it affects our well being and causes tremendous pressure. In this plan, Sam & Mildred, derive lessons from Jehoshaphat and talk about how a believer must respond during a crisis. God was with us, He is with us and He will continue to be with us.
