Kari Jobe - The Blessing Devotional নমুনা
Title:
An Invitation to Trust
Devotional:
In Matthew 7:9-11, Jesus makes an incredible statement. Something that I pray will bring peace and hope to your soul today...
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Friend, it is God’s great joy to provide for your needs.
I think of the Israelites when they were wandering in the wilderness. They had many questions and many needs. Yet Psalm 78:23 shows us God “gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens; he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven (NIV).”
God always provided, but they still had to trust Him. They had to choose to focus on the goodness of His nature and the truth of who He is.
You and I have the same opportunity today. And the same God who was present for the Israelites is present here and now.
We might have to let go of some things we thought were steady and secure. We might have to remind ourselves, daily, who the true source of our provision is. Money, work, and our own thoughts and strategies can distract us. But, like the Israelites, we can turn to God for what we need each day.
We can respond in faith to His invitation to trust.
We can remember the heart of our Heavenly Father, that He is with us, for us, and will always provide. And that because of His great love for us, His blessing is upon us. The same blessing He gave to Aaron to speak over the people of Israel. The same BLESSING you can receive today and declare over your families, the nations, and the generations to come.
The Lord bless you and keep you
Make His face shine upon you
And be gracious to you
The Lord turn His face toward you
And give you peace
Amen, Amen
Amen
May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
And your family and your children
And their children and their children
May His presence go before you
And behind you and beside you
All around you and within you
He is with you, He is with you
In the morning, in the evening
In your coming and your going
In your weeping and rejoicing
He is for you, He is for you
