Quarantine Youth: Exileনমুনা

Quarantine Youth: Exile

DAY 4 OF 5

Trust

Quarantine has a way of getting into your head. It begins to feel like it’s never going to end. If you watch the news surrounding the pandemic, it can be really discouraging to see the numbers...

-The number of the infected

-The number of the deceased

-The projected, worst case scenarios

-The number of days until things return to normalcy

When we are inundated with negativity, we have to remember that our trust is with God, and He never fails. While Daniel was in exile, he had to trust that God would be with him. His friends had to do the same. And God didn’t disappoint. By trusting that God would help them, Daniel and his friends put themselves in a position for God to help them. God gave them favor with their captors and exceptional abilities that set them apart from the rest of Babylon.

If you will trust God to give you what you need to quarantine well, then you will have taken the first step to positioning yourself to receive God’s help. God is ready, and more than able to give you everything you need to not only make it through this time, but to come through this time better than you could have imagined. You just need to take the first step.

Set aside the negativity, especially the anxiety that comes with it, and remember that if you can trust God with your eternity, then you can definitely trust Him with your right-now. It wasn’t easy for Daniel and his friends to be different, to trust in God, but when they did, God met them and enabled them to thrive in exile.

Start right now. Choose to trust God with your right-now, and when you are faced with the challenges of your quarantine, remind yourself that you have chosen to trust Him. God will empower you to do what you need to do, but only if you will take the first step and trust Him while you do it. With His strength, you can thrive in quarantine.

About this Plan

Quarantine Youth: Exile

Having your life uprooted by a quarantine can be disorienting. In the Bible, we learn the story of Daniel, and a few of his friends. They were uprooted, and exiled to Babylon. We can learn a lot about what to do when we have been uprooted from them.
