Easter: If the Grave Could Talkনমুনা
Darkness Will Last Forever
We all have had seasons of despair, frustration, resentment and isolation. Dark moments, dark seasons, and dark thoughts have dimmed our days. Darkness kills joy. Darkness sparks fear. Darkness dictates our behavior. A gloomy day clouds our mood. Darkness comes quicker in the fall with Daylight savings. Nobody likes walking through a dark house alone. And then, they close the casket. It’s just you and your darkness. You and your deepest fear. Forever. You will never see light again. You will never experience joy again. You will live in the agony of darkness day after day. How does that land? Does that make you anxious? Go back and read day two. If the grave could talk, it would say, “Darkness will last forever.”
But then there is Jesus, the light who defeated the darkness. On the third day, at the light of dawn, Mary and Peter walk into the tomb. Jesus is gone. Jesus isn’t dead. Jesus is alive! The light of the world proved to everyone that darkness was no match for His light. This light is our light, and our darkness is gone! His grave says, “My light is the life of men.”
PRAY: “Jesus, when my life is dark, please allow your light to shine through every crack and opening. Jesus, let your light give me life.”

About this Plan
We all have a common denominator. We will die. I will die. You will die. Death will defeat you. You won’t be able to dodge it, sidestep it, trick it or make it disappear. But then there is Jesus, the man who defeated the grave. Jesus stood toe to toe with the grave and defeated death. When Jesus talks, the grave speaks.
