God | God Is Love

God’s love is infinite. It is eternal and unchanging. God’s love is holy, sovereign, all-powerful, all-knowing and all-present. God is love manifested in a person, and God’s love is the reason we exist. It is the “why” of creation. You were created as a target for God’s love, because love always has to have a recipient, a target. He loved you and knew your name even before time began. Understand this because it is so important—You are dearly loved by God.

As a child of God, you need to display love in your life. God’s love has been made perfect in you, and He commands you to love. Jesus said that the world would know that we are His disciples because of our love. If you have everything that the world offers, but you don’t have love, the Bible says that you are nothing! The brutal truth is that a person who has never met God cannot really give love because God is love.

God loved you so much that He sent His only Son to lay down His life for you. At its very core, love is laying down your life. You will never be able to lay down your life for any person until you lay down your life for the Lord.

Will you lay down your life for the Lord today? Will you love others even when they wrong you? And above all, will you choose to receive God’s unconditional love today?
