A Peacemakers Seven Day Devotional: Part 2নমুনা
Scripture
Ah, Lord God! It is You who have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You. (Jeremiah 32:17, ESV)
Thoughts
God created the heavens and the earth by His great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for our God. Think about this statement and how often it is repeated in Scripture. For instance, in Matthew’s and Mark’s gospels, a conversation with Jesus is recorded in slightly different words. Matthew said, “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible’” (Matthew 19:26, ESV). And Mark wrote, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God’” (Mark 10:27, ESV).
Through the Gospel story—the life, death, burial, resurrection, and appearance of Jesus Christ—the impossible becomes possible! God can take a person who is in bondage, chains, and captivity, and set him or her free. The Lord is able to do far more than we can dream, so start hoping and believing that God can change you and others in your life.
Application
Are you in a relational impossibility? Let me remind you that nothing is too hard for God. You might say, of course, that God can do anything, but people have free will. I recognize this, yet I am reminding you that God is working on every believer’s behalf (see Phil. 1:6 & 2:13). He is the God of hope. He is the God of reconciliation and newness. He is the God who helps.
Prayer
Lord, I feel like I am in a relational impossibility. Thank you that nothing is too hard for You. I want to believe that with my whole heart. I am grateful that you’re still able to transform a person’s heart. Lord, please help…. (Continue praying.)
