JESUS: THE SERVANT OF GOD
But what is there for faithful servants like Jesus? Many hesitate to follow this track because they end up usually alone, abandoned by relatives, friends and those whom they have served, and usually, they end up in a cold grave. And just imagine, had it not been for a generous rich man, who gave Jesus a decent burial, His ending would have been a complete tragedy!
Isaiah 53:10-12 highlighted the glorious results of the Servant's suffering.
A. The Lord was pleased. This verse might appear that God was a sadistic tyrant experiencing pleasure while the servant was suffering. Yes, it was His will, it was His love that made Him send His servant-son so that those who are estranged from Him, may be reconciled to Him. He was pleased that His servant-son accomplished the task; in the process He was grieving. But while figuratively the eyes of God might have been covered with tears and darkness during the crucifixion, His heart was rejoicing, because through His death, He could now adopt back His prodigal creatures, as His sons. The very thing that hindered God to embraced Him back, namely sin, has been removed by His lamb. His beautiful plan for mankind which was aborted by sin, could now progress.
B. Many sinners will be justified. As a result of Jesus substitutionary atonement people may now be reconciled with God and have peace with Him. Because of what Jesus has done, there shall no longer be condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus; they have been freed from the law of sin and death. Indeed through His death on the cross, Jesus crossed out our sins. Sin has no sting anymore.
C. The Servant will be highly exalted. Because of what the servant had done, His heavenly Father has greatly exalted Him. In fact, God will not just give Him a portion with the great, He will be made the greatest. This prophetic conferment of greatness was not only realized when God raised the servant from the dead and seated Him at His right hand, it will still be realized when the words from the apostle Paul are fulfilled.
Let us also without wavering give all our highest praise and worship to Jesus Christ our Lord, for He alone is worthy. And devote all the days of lives devoted to Him and serving Him alone. And one of the ways to show our devotion is follow His servant example. May you and I open our lives to Him today and together with all those whose lives He touched, worship and gratefully serve Him.

About this Plan
Jesus is worthy of all praise and glory. We all look at the world's standards when we look for someone who is worthy of our praise. But in accordance to Isaiah, God's standard is different from that only of the world. Jesus, whose description is different from the world, He is the only one who is worthy of our worship.
