Joshua - Restনমুনা
After telling Israel who they were, Joshua told them what to do.
They were to cling only to God and steward their inheritance.
Spoiler: They failed, and their poor stewardship became a snare that drew them away from God.
We have a similar calling:
We are to abide in Christ and steward His blessings.
If we fail, those blessings will become snares that draw us away from freedom in Christ and put us back in the stronghold of slavery.
Jesus followers can never lose the foundation of Christ, the seal of the Holy Spirit, and our adoption into God’s family. But if we, like the prodigal son, squander our inheritance in the pigpen of slavery, one day we will return to our father empty-handed.
The Holy Spirit refines our works with fire. Will they be burnt away like chaff, or purified like gold?
Challenge:
- Memorize Joshua 22:5
- Will your works to be purified or burned away?
This is Week 9 of a ten-week challenge. Week 10 can be found here: www.morethanwarriors.com
About this Plan
“The war is over - God has given your brothers rest.” We also have an inheritance, and the war is over. Jesus won every battle on the cross. This plan covers the central theme of Joshua - Love God and serve Him if you want to enjoy His blessings. This stand-alone plan is also part 9 of a 10 part series.
