Isaiah: God's Vision for Our Heartsনমুনা
The Woe of Falsehood
The fourth woe of Isaiah 5 is the woe of falsehood. Since the beginning, wicked people have made evil out to be something good. They switch truths for lies and establish falsehood as something godly. They make good things of God into evil things. Persecution of all forms comes from this switch: bullying, slandering, and even martyrdom. Christians who stand for truth are often persecuted by those who have traded the truth of God for a lie.
Falsehood is seen today. Many people are claiming “their truth” as more important than the truth of God, and they are increasingly vocal. Christians, we need to stand up for God and his Word no matter the personal cost. We need to speak truth, but we must always do it in love—unconditional love, like that of our Father God. This type of love should define Christians. We should have a love for every person just like God does and still call out sin in ourselves and others.
When we are surrounded by God and his Word, we are able to speak truth in love and speak it honestly. Stay in God’s Word and learn what his truth is. Look to God’s truth to guide our thoughts and actions.
Lord, thank you for giving us your Word and your truth. Thank you that we can know you more deeply every day. Please help us stand for your truth and live it out. May we love everyone just like you do and not be afraid to call out sin.

About this Plan
Isaiah was written thousands of years ago, but the truths found within remain pertinent today. And although it was written to the people of ancient Israel, its wisdom applies to all Christians. Isaiah chapter 5 specifically covers six woes that God wanted to communicate to help us remain on a righteous path for his glory. Read this plan with an open heart and let God change you for his good.
