[Bible Trek Luke] God Sees What Is in Your Heartনমুনা
Where is your Heart?
Is your heart in the things of this world, like your toys, your computer, your room, your brand name clothes, the place where you study? Things that, although they are important, are actually temporary? Or is your heart in eternal things—the ones that really matter?
Read the Bible
A rich man comes to see Jesus and asks him an important question: "What must I do to have eternal life?" The answer Jesus gives him is very hard for him to hear! Jesus tells him to sell everything and give the money to people who don't have any! The rich man went away sad, thinking about the difficult choice Jesus had given him.
Think about it
Jesus gave the rich man the challenge of giving away his riches because he knew the man's heart. He knew that the man was more attached to his money and things than he was to God and caring for others. It's hard to always follow God's ways, but Jesus reminds us that he can help us do what God asks of us. Don't let anything keep you from following Jesus!
Do something about it
Do you have something you can give away? Talk about this with your parents and make a plan to look around your room and see if there are clothes, games, or toys that someone else might enjoy. Take the things to a local thrift store or a homeless shelter and give them away!
Talk to God
“God, thank you for the stories of Jesus in the Bible. Help me to follow you no matter what!”

About this Plan
Welcome to the third devotional of this exciting trek through Luke! For the next seven days, we’ll walk alongside a follower of Jesus, Luke. Jesus taught that God’s kingdom is both in us and in the work God does through us. Every time we talk to God, worship God, tell others about God, and serve people around us to show God’s love, we are making the kingdom of God grow!
