In All Circumstancesনমুনা
Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
This verse is a formula that we, as moms, can implement into our lives each day. If we do, we will find contentment.
Be joyful: Joyful for the large things in life: a bonus at the end of the year, an unexpected vacation with our husband, a new house, a new car, a raise with our job. And joyful with the smaller things in life: joyful that my washing machine and dryer work, that I have indoor plumbing, that my children are healthy, that I have children, etc.
Pray continually: If you are a mom, you should be praying continually and asking-begging- your Heavenly Father to give you what you need to train up your children. Pray and ask God for wisdom as you guide your children through life. Pray and ask God to give you the kind of love that He has for people. Pray and share your heart with God, crying out to Him when you need to tell someone your sorrows.
Give thanks in all circumstances: The key word in this part of the verse is ALL. All means just that: ALL. When there are bad times in your life, give thanks. When there are good times in your life, give thanks. During the bad times, thank God that even though the situation is not as you would like, He is Sovereign and Holy, and He will direct your path. Thank God that you know He will never leave you nor forsake you, no matter how bad the situation is in your life. Be thankful that God is in control and even though you are suffering, He has overcome the world.
Father,
Help me remember this verse. As I go about my day, I want to be a joyful person. God, remind me throughout my day to seek You in prayer. As I sit in the carpool line, as I wash dishes, or as I fold laundry, draw my mind forever back to You in prayer. I want to give thanks in ALL circumstances. Teach me how to have a trusting love in You, so that no matter what life throws at me, I am ready because I have You.
Thank You, God for being my Heavenly Father and for loving me so well.
