Joy And Glad Tidings By Nina Smit নমুনা
The Light of a Star
A special star appeared in the east at the time of Jesus’ birth. The wise men of that time saw the star and knew that it indicated the birth of a king. Three of them traveled to Jerusalem and asked King Herod where the newborn King of the Jews could be found. They told him that they had seen the new King’s star and had come to worship Him.
Herod was extremely disturbed by this development. The wily Herod sent the wise men to Bethlehem with an instruction to return and inform him where they had found the King.
The wise men followed the star to the point where it stood still above the place where the Child lay. On entering, they found Jesus with His parents, knelt before Him and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and gave Him the royal gifts they had brought with them—gold, frankincense and myrrh.
The wise men recognized Jesus as the King without hesitation and demonstrated their respect by kneeling before Him, worshiping Him and presenting Him with gifts.
Through Jesus, God reconciled the world with Himself. Through the crucifixion, He made brand-new people of us, people who are acceptable to God. But this cannot come about until the message of reconciliation has been proclaimed. And God has entrusted this message to His children; to you and me. If we are not ready, willing and able to spread the message, the world will never hear it.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, every time I look up at Your starry heavens, I want to praise and worship You and again acknowledge You as the King of my life. I commit to bringing peace and happiness to people around me through Your message of reconciliation. Amen.
