Getting to Know God নমুনা
Day 3
God is love! (1 John 4:8) Everything He did, He did because of love. (John 3:16) God SO loved the world, that He gave. While we were enemies and still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8–10)
Remember, the most important thing about YOU is what you believe about God. Not just believing in Him, but what you believe He is actually like—His nature—His heartbeat—His attitude towards you.
Knowing His nature is pure love will calm your heart, set your expectations, heal your soul, ELIMINATE YOUR DOUBT, and protect you from condemnation. Even when our heart condemns us, God’s love is greater than what our heart is telling us. (1 John 3:21)
And if that’s not enough to convince you, this next verse will leave NO DOUBT . . .
Jeremiah 31:2–6, Message Bible.
This is the way God put it:
“They found grace out in the desert,
these people who survived the killing.
Israel, out looking for a place to rest,
met God out looking for them!”
God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will.
Expect love, love, and more love!
And so now I’ll start over with you and build you up again,
dear virgin Israel.
You’ll resume your singing,
grabbing tambourines and joining the dance.
You’ll go back to your old work of planting vineyards
on the Samaritan hillsides,
And sit back and enjoy the fruit—
oh, how you’ll enjoy those harvests!"
Notice what happens in these verses, when you KNOW God has never quit loving you and never will. Notice what happens when you EXPECT love, love, and MORE LOVE.
- You’ll be built up. Love will build and rebuild everything that has been damaged or torn down in your life.
- You’ll start singing again. You’ll get your song back. It will lift your emotions. You’ll have a reason to sing when you expect His love all the time.
- You’ll start dancing. It will really make you celebrate!
- You’ll become fruitful. The days of dry times will be over!
- You’ll enjoy your fruit and your life.
You see, faith becomes easy when you understand the nature of God.
Expecting miracles becomes simple. The promises become easy to believe and expect when you understand the Promise Maker’s nature.
When you know the true nature of God, as described in scripture and demonstrated in the life of Jesus, it changes and shapes everything that matters in your life.
- It will shape your perspective. You’ll see the bigger picture, and you’ll trust God when you don’t.
- It will shape your expectations. You’ll look up, expecting to receive from this loving Heavenly Father who has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.
- It will shape your emotions. You’ll live with a new pep in your step!
- It will shape your decisions. You’ll choose with wisdom, knowing God is good and will lead you in the paths of righteousness all the days of your life!
