We must be careful who we listen to for advice. Not everyone has pure motives when offering their help. We must look to God's Word for true wisdom and discernment. When Ahaserus needed to make a decision, he looked to his advisors. However, the advice of his advisors ended up creating more tension and difficulty than the original issue. 

When we need to make an important decision, it is wise to seek the advice of those we trust and respect. However, we need to always weigh their advice against the truth and wisdom of Scripture. 

In your opinion, what advice should have King Ahaserus advisors given him instead?

Dear God, help me always to seek Your wisdom. When I am troubled and don't know what decision to make, help me to seek wisdom from You and those in my life who know You best. Help me guard my ears, mind, and heart with Your wisdom.
