Love Changes Everything By Micah Berteauনমুনা
Day Seven
Expect Love!
Just because you do not feel this real love does not mean it is not with you and for you. The biggest mistake we make is to look for a different answer to a problem that God has already solved. Don’t get me wrong; God’s love is not emotionless. In fact, once you decide it is a truth in your life, you will have powerful, life-changing encounters with his love. But this love is bigger than one encounter. There is an encounter for you every day in this love. You are loved with an everlasting love.
Jeremiah 31 is a powerful passage. Expect love! Start expecting that it is in you, with you, and sustaining you. God’s love for you is good and will produce good things through you. I have come to realize we receive to the level we expect. You will receive God’s love to the same extent as you expect that love to help you and fulfill you.
Most likely you have a boss. That boss signs your paycheck, and you know exactly when that check is supposed to show up. If that check is one day late, you hunt down the person who has stolen your money or you call your employer to ask what happened. You do this because you are expecting your check to be in your account at a certain time. You know exactly when you are to be in possession of your hard-earned paycheck.
What if we brought that same intensity and expectancy to seeing God’s love in our lives? Every day is payday with God, but we often fail to communicate with the Boss to get all that he has waiting for us. He wants to lavish his love on you. He wants to radically challenge your perspective with this love. Expect more love, all the time. When you don’t feel it, don’t compensate by making an ill-advised decision. Maybe God is testing you to see who you will run to when you need something to gratify your soul.
You receive God’s love to the extent you expect his love. It’s time to receive his love in a manner like never before. It is time to expect that God is your all in all and that his love changes everything.
What does it look like to receive God’s love? Why does it make a difference in the choices you make?

About this Plan
Have you ever thought about the ways we seek love? We try to impress people with our social media posts, we crave compliments, we look for satisfaction from things that were never intended to satisfy us. What we really want is a love that pursues us—and never lets us down. That’s the kind of love we’re going to explore in this devotional. That’s the kind of love that changes everything.
