Living Refreshedনমুনা
There is a powerful principle in the word of God that can sometimes get overlooked. It’s the power of a seed sown. Jesus uses seeds to help illustrate what the kingdom of God is like. When we understand this principal then waiting becomes easier. It’s often in the wait that people can become disappointed, discouraged or even dry. However, just like a seed that has been sown into soil we are unaware of what is taking place because we can’t see it. We can’t always see God moving in answer to our prayers but He is at work. Just as a seed has all the DNA within it to see it reach its potential and its God-given destiny, within each one of us is the same creative power.
But it’s in those dark places where we naturally think nothing good can be produced that we see the most fruit spring forth from our lives. It was in the dark place of my parent’s divorce that first saw the coming forth of my faith in God. It was in that dark place of rejection and despair that Jesus was first revealed to me as my saviour. Seeds had been sown into my heart from others who had talked to me about Jesus. They had told me stories of how Jesus could mend my broken heart, save me from my sin and give me eternal life. And then when my circumstances were dark then this is when those seeds started to grow. No one could tell on the outside that things were happening to me but they were. Faith was growing on the inside of me.
There have been seeds sown into your life too, I’m sure. A vision for a better future, a dream that God is wanting to fulfill, a desire that God wants to give you. Things might seem dark, like it’s impossible for those things to become a reality. You might not see anything happening right now but let me assure you that God is moving. Those seeds are germinating. And as you feed on the word of God you are providing for your heart the right nutrients to see the impossible become possible.
Prayer
Thank you Lord that you have sown seeds into my life that have the potential to take me into a season of fruitfulness and growth. Today I ask that you would water those seeds. Just as water will help a seed in the natural geminate, let your word help to germinate the supernatural seeds you have planted in my heart so that I can experience the successful life that you have designed for me become a reality. I trust you Lord and I know you want the very best for me. I pray all this in Jesus name. Amen.
