How often do you stop and take a second to reflect before you react? How often do you pause to pray before you panic? As Christians, it is so important that we don’t dive headfirst into our feelings, because sometimes the way that we feel doesn’t lead us to saying or doing Godly things. For the sake of our love for God and our marriages, it is so important to take a minute to align our hearts and thoughts with God’s Word, so that we can respond to situations in ways that glorify Jesus. We need to begin asking God more often to make our hearts so in tune with Him that our actions follow His example and our thoughts are fixed on His ways. The more we focus on God, the more beautiful our marriages will be.
