Day 5: Trust in His Great Love Today

When you understand God’s love for you, it’s easy to trust Him. So many people have a hard time believing God and believing God’s promises, but that’s because faith works by love (Galatians 5:6). It’s not our love that causes faith to work, but it’s our understanding of God’s love for us that makes it easy to believe His promises. 

If a stranger made a promise to you, you might be skeptical. If someone you love makes a promise to you, you hope you can believe it. But if someone who loves you and died for you makes a promise, you can be absolutely certain that He will keep His promise. Do you see? Love is driven to keep its promise, and this love empowers us to believe. The deeper your understanding of His love, the higher your faith will rise! 

If you could see God right now, you would see that His eyes are full of love, not wrath. Your fears and feelings of inferiority would drop off of you like a shabby old coat you’ve been desperate to throw away. You are clothed with something greater than words can describe, clothed on the inside with a warmth and feeling that is undeniable and indescribable: the love of God. 

Dare to trust God today. Believe His love, and you will trust Him as you never have before. God has prepared a way for you. What He has prepared for you is beyond what you can imagine right now. It’s more beautiful than you can imagine. He will take you higher and further than you’ve ever gone before.
