My Heart Has Been Restored

DAY 4 OF 7

Prayer is one of the most important acts of devotion that we can take part in. It is vital for anyone who wants to build a close relationship with our Lord and Savior. Prayer also has heavenly POWER! Today’s Bible verse shows this in a BIG way! God forgives our sins and will even RESTORE our land! This verse is part of God’s direct words to Solomon after he dedicated the freshly constructed Temple to Him.

As we can see in this verse, there are four steps to answered prayer that we must take. Staying humble can be a very difficult task at times. We can do this in many ways, such as praying on our knees, fasting, or simple obedience to Him. Next, of course, we must actually make the time to pray. We can talk all we want about what we’re going to do, but if we don’t do it, we cannot reap the benefits with nothing but “good intentions.” Next, we MUST seek His face. Bible study, fellowship, and meditation are all great ways to seek God. Finally, we must repent of our sins. It is vital that we conduct regular self-examination and ask God to root out our imperfections, and restore us to a right relationship with Him.

So, for today, let us examine our prayer lives and see if we are following these guidelines for answered prayer. Let us be brutally honest with ourselves and make changes where necessary. Let us remain humble, pray with devotion, yearn for God, and remove any stumbling blocks of sin in our lives. Let us pray from a cleansed and loving heart, so that our sins may be forgiven, our lives may be restored, and the whole world may be made a better place for all.

About this Plan

My Heart Has Been Restored

God has limitless power to restore ANYTHING that may seem broken, hopeless, or impossible to repair. Sometimes all we have to do is wait on His redemption as we pray through our situation – even when it hurts. Without God we have no power to redeem ANYTHING. God is THE source of redemption. This plan has been inspired by God's restoration of my relationship with my daughter.
