How To Make The Right Parenting Decisionনমুনা
Parenting Decisions Are Heavy, But God Can Carry Them
Of all the decisions you make, parenting decisions can feel like the weightiest.
Melissa describes the fear she feels when making a decision that affects her child:
“I’m not just messing up my own life! My decision is going to outlive me. When I make a decision for myself, whatever it is, I own it. But when I make a parenting decision, it’s on me and it’s on them.”
The good news is that your tough decisions are on God too.
God’s promise in Isaiah 54:13 is that he will be the ultimate teacher of your children. “All your children shall be taught by the Lord.” This means that you alone do not bear sole responsibility for how your child turns out. God shares the burden of parenting with you.
God is Lord and father to both you and your child, according to Ephesians 4:6. Just as you protect and care for your child, God is protecting and caring for you.
Prayer
God, please share the burden of parenting with me. Be with me in each of my difficult decisions. I give my children’s future to you. Thank you for being the perfect parent. Amen.
