Now we are introduced to Samson’s character. He is physically strong and strategically clever, but he has a weakness for women. His weakness puts him in contact with the enemies of Israel, which brings about his victories over them. Verse 4 says that God had a plan even in the midst of Samson’s weakness.
We’d love to have all strengths and no weaknesses, especially when the weaknesses are a temptation to do the wrong thing. Imagine God having a plan even for those.

About this Plan

This is part two of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
