Love God Greatly - 1 & 2 Peterনমুনা
Peter writes this letter to various churches who were undergoing persecution to encourage them. In this passage, Peter shares with them that although they are Gentiles, through Christ, they now share the same privileges originally set apart for the Israelites, Those who believe in Christ are now considered the chosen people. Those who belong to our King, Jesus, are considered royalty. God’s Church is now considered the holy nation. God considers His believers His very own special people. It is a high honor. It is a great privilege. It is truly a gift from God.
What is my response to this gift from God? Do I take my “chosen” status in the Lord for granted? Do I proclaim my Lord’s name with my words alone, or do I also proclaim Him with my attitude, my behavior, and my obedience?
