Bloom: Fresh Devotionals For Girls Part Twoনমুনা
Family First
As God looked over the Garden of Eden at the beginning of time, He had a plan for how humans would grow and live together: through a family. God created family first. He didn’t create a school, a government, a team, or a club. He chose to create a family.
Families are important in God’s kingdom because they provide a unique network of support, teaching, and love. Marriages stretch men and women to become more like God, to learn about sacrifice, and work as a team. Through marriages, children are born and can learn about God, which in turn grows and strengthens the kingdom. Just like we said in the intro to this section, there is not one type of family. And no one family is perfect.
But through it all, God wants you to know how much He loves you and has a plan for you and your family, even when you make mistakes.
What about me?
Families come in all shapes and sizes. What does your family look like? In a journal, take a page to draw your family, or just swipe through a few photos you may have saved on your phone. Make a list of those in your immediate family. Next to each person’s name, write one thing you can be praying about for them, or write something you are thankful for about them.
