Devotions On Jesus By Charles Spurgeonনমুনা
"Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love." John 15:9
As the Father loves the Son, Jesus loves you. It’s in the same manner of love that the Father God gives toward Jesus Christ that Jesus gives to you. We can discover more about this love when we examine it closely.
For starters, the Father loved Jesus without a beginning to His love. As such, there is no beginning to Jesus’ love for you. We read about this love in Jeremiah 31:3 where it says, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.”
You can trace the start of human affection. You can easily pinpoint the beginning of your love for Jesus. But His love for you? It is a stream whose source will remain hidden for all eternity.
Another aspect of the Father’s love for Jesus which is reflected in Jesus’ love for you is that the Father’s love does not change. You can take comfort in this truth. There is no change in Jesus’ love toward those who rest in Him. Whether you are on the pinnacle of popularity by the world’s standards or in the valley of humiliation, it matters not. Jesus loves you all the same. If you hear His sweet voice marked by notes of love when life seems calm and your days seem bright, you can also rest assured that His voice of love remains on the stormiest of seas. Even when all the waves and billows toss you to and fro, Jesus’ heart remains faithful to His choice of loving you.
A third characteristic of love we find in the Father’s love for the Son is that in addition to having no beginning, it also knows no end. Jesus loves you forever too. You need never fear nor worry about losing His love and favor. Jesus’ love toward you will never cease. Never. Rest confident that even to your deepest pit, Jesus will be with you. He will guide you up from it and out of it so that the beauty you enjoy causes you to forget the grime you left behind.
Lastly, the Father loves the Son without measure. And this same immeasurable love is given to you. Take comfort in that. Find joy in that. Delight in that. The whole heart of Christ is yours, my friend. It is dedicated to you. He loved you so much that He gave His life for you (John 3:16, Ephesians 5:2). His is love that passes beyond understanding. He is a precious Savior who loves you without measure, without change, without beginning and without end. Even as the Father loves Him. Oh, how I pray that you will grab hold of these truths and embrace them fully. May the Spirit cause this to bring you comfort, assurance and gladness as you go about your day.
