Brave to put God first
As women of God, we can not take these commands lightly. When this verse says to love your God with all your heart, soul, and strength, it means to love God first and foremost. When you love someone with all your heart, you naturally put them first in your life.
The Bible says to love God and seek first His kingdom. It doesn’t say to love myself and seek first my comfort, or love material things and seek first my happiness, or love the spotlight and seek first my fame. Out of a wholehearted love, we’re called to put God first.
When we are committed wholeheartedly to love God above all else, He takes care of everything else we need. We have to be brave enough to put God first in our days, in our habits, in our priorities, and in our lives. We are called to live in total devotion to Him. To do this, we must submit every part of our lives to His kingdom purposes. We must be brave to put God first.
Heavenly Father, You are God alone. I commit myself wholeheartedly to loving you and putting You first. Help me, Lord, to prioritize Your kingdom purposes over my personal comfort. I love You with all of my heart, soul, and strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

About this Plan

There isn’t a woman on this earth who doesn’t struggle with fear, doubt, and uncertainty. Yet, through His Word, God lovingly reminds us over and over again not to live our lives in fear. Instead, He commands us to be strong and courageous…maybe even fearless. Why? Because He is with us. Joshua 1:9
