Kairos - God’s Appointed Time to Act

DAY 21 OF 21

 Fighting Temptation

We live in a world that is overflowing with temptations especially for a youngster like me - wrong relationships, worldly friendships, lust of the eye, addictions etc. And more often than not we land

up in a situation where we have to depend on God because we drown ourselves in doing wrong things in the process of  achieving them. The Scripture says that the temptations we face in our lives are no different from what others experience. But then it also says, “Remember God is faithful”

Wow, God knows about my weakness, struggles and temptations. Sometimes while chasing our temptations we don’t even realize that we have crossed our limits, but every time you cry out to Him, He is willing and able to pull you out.

Also God does not tempt us. The devil tests us in our weakness, but God always tests us in our ‘strength’. The Bible says in James 1:13, When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.

1 Corinthians 10:14 also say run from idolatry. Remember anything that keeps you distracted from God and takes His place is idolatry. I can give a testimony from my life concerning this. God in His grace has blessed me with the gift of beat boxing and I had this desire to be famous in

Bollywood and be known as the best beat-boxer in the industry. But I realized my dream had become my idol. But when God is not in something , it is like swimming against the tide and you end up falling for temptations. Now I no longer worry about my future. I don’t need to idolize my success or dreams. My God is faithful, and He loves me so much that he has the best in store for me. I am assured that He can raise me to a level which I can’t even dream of for His ways are higher!
