Wow, God! (An Advent Journey)নমুনা
WOW, GOD. I AM YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Experience
I’m trying to do the right thing, you know? Be more patient with my kids, more productive at work, exercise more. Be a GOOD person, right? I do try, except as soon as I get in the car and the traffic builds up, and my to-do list floods my mind, the old feeling creeps up on me. Struggle. Tension. How can I be a “good” person with pressure hitting me from every side, every second of every day? I don’t know how.
There’s a verse in the Bible that says we are God’s accomplishment. I don’t feel like that most days, especially by the time I get home and just sit in front of the TV. And now it’s the Christmas season again, and even though I know the “reason for the season,” Mary and Joseph, and Jesus in the manger, December seems to bring more pressure. I feel like I could be accomplishing more, like my life can be meaningful and not just busy. I’m not sure how to get there. I’d like to understand more of what it means to be God’s accomplishment.
Wow, God. I am Your accomplishment.
Respond
In the Bible, it’s written that “you are God’s accomplishment.” Ephesians 2:10 says, “We are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way we live our lives.” Do you feel like you are anyone’s accomplishment? Have you ever realized God created you to be HIS accomplishment? Maybe you are looking to find meaning in your life. If you would like God to show you meaning, ask Him now. Ask God to show you how you are His accomplishment, created for good things.
Pray
God, show me how I am Your accomplishment. Even today, help me see the good things You are doing in and through my life. Amen.
