Relationship Advice For Menনমুনা
Every Chance in the World
“A hope greater than fear is all we need to begin most adventures.” Roger Thompson, We Stood Upon Stars
Which of the five relationships we’ve been talking about need your attention most right now? Is it your relationship to a woman you love, a father or father figure, kids, friends, or God? The last one is going to help you with the others. Actually, I’ve found the first four on that list are sort of impossible to get right without hope in God.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus was asked how anyone, let alone someone with a lot of material wealth can make it in the Kingdom of God. In the Message version of Matthew 19:26, Jesus leveled the playing field.
Jesus looked hard at them and said, “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.”
What relationship do you want to grow in? Why did you start a Bible Plan with the word “advice” in the title? Most men don’t even like advice! Read Jesus’ words again, but this time replace “them” with your name.
Restoring a marriage, getting to know your kids, dating, finding a wife, making friends, reaching out to your dad, whatever adventure you face—there is hope stronger than your fear. You’re not in this on your own. You have every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.
Watch today’s video, then consider the question below.
Consider: Which relationship will you focus on first? What would it look like for you step into this adventure with full trust in God? How will you start?
