Love God Greatly - Jonahনমুনা

Love God Greatly - Jonah

DAY 15 OF 28

God is the giver of second chances

Once again, God tells Jonah “Go to Nineveh.” And this time, the prophet knows exactly what to do. He didn´t want to make the same mistake twice, so he arose and went straight to Nineveh. Had he done this the first time, he wouldn´t have gone through all the things he had to endure!

But sometimes there are lessons that we only learn the hard way, or sometimes we learn by trial and error. It may not be the ideal learning process, but it leaves an indelible mark that helps us grow and avoid the same mistake in the future.

The good part is that God is always willing to give us a second, third and tenth opportunity. His love never ceases. His mercies never come to an end because they are new every morning. This means that every single day, you have a new opportunity to make the right choice. No matter how bad you messed up yesterday, God´s grace always gives you a second chance.

Is there anything in your life you need to change? Anything you know you are not doing right? Are you resisting obeying God´s commands? Choose today to stop wasting time trying to do things our own way and instead claim the opportunity God has given you to do what He’s asking you to do.

Dear God, help me make things right. I´m tired of repeating the same mistakes and tired of wasting time looking for my comfort instead of Your will. Thank You for the never-ending opportunities You give me. Let me appreciate each and every one of them and never take Your forgiveness for granted. Amen.
