Streaks: Prayer

DAY 3 OF 7

Have you ever wondered what Jesus would pray for? Well, fortunately for us, several of Jesus’ prayers are recorded for us to catch a glimpse of what the Son of God Himself prayed for. And one of the most amazing things about it is Jesus actually prayed for you! No joke! At the end of a fairly long prayer in John 17, Jesus prays for everyone who will believe in Him for the rest of time, which includes all of us today who consider ourselves Christ-followers. And the thing He is most concerned with is the way we would love the people around us. He prays that we will be united, that we’ll be one, that we will love and serve one another, and that through those actions the rest of the world will catch a glimpse of just how awesome Jesus is. So, if the way we treat one another was so important to Jesus that He prayed a fairly long prayer about it, the obvious question is, “how are you doing with that?” Are you united with your friends, your group, your coach? Do you go out of your way to serve others in hopes of pointing them towards Jesus? As you pray today, ask God to show you some step you can take today that will better serve or build unity with the people around you.

Read today’s Scripture, and then pray for at least two minutes.
