James. A 21-day reading plan by Doxa Deo.নমুনা
James 3:9-12 (ESV) With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God. From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.
By our fruit we shall be known. We cannot be “semi-believers” or partial believers. Either we believe God and live like it, or we don’t.
Matt. 5:48 (MSG) In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.
We are made new in Christ, now we should live like it! Our words will reflect our true beliefs. Once our beliefs are aligned – the actions will follow.
Reflection:
Are your words reflecting your faith in Jesus?
Are your words bringing life and edification to your own and other’s lives?
