Love God Greatly Truth Over Liesনমুনা

SOAP: Psalm 119:11
One of the worst feelings in the world is when you make an assumption about someone or something, only to find out that your ignorance led you to the wrong conclusion. For example, you decide that you are going to “wing it” without directions to a destination where you have never been and simply follow the car in front of you. When you end up lost because your lead car left you at a red light, your ignorance deceived you.
It is easy for Satan to deceive us when we do not know God’s Word. Satan is the master of half-truths and if we are not intentional in reading God’s Word and applying it to our lives we can find ourselves believing his lies. God’s Word should be an anchor for our faith. Scripture stresses the importance of knowing God’s Word and putting it into action in our lives. This requires understanding what God’s Word says, reflecting on how it relates to us, and following through with doing what it says. It is so easy to live in ignorance. But God wants more for us. His deepest desire is for you to live life abundantly in the full knowledge of Him.
Father God, thank You for revealing Yourself to me through Scripture. I pray that I will treat Your Word as the precious gift that it is. Help me not to walk in ignorance, but to build a passion for Your Word within me, that I might know You better. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
