A Dad's Prayer For His Childrenনমুনা
PROTECTION
Today’s Prayer: “God we ask that you put a hedge of protection around our child. Guard them against attack from the evil one. Watch over them day and night.”
Protecting your child is one of the most important responsibilities of a father. Our world is filled with events and situations that can cause significant harm, anxiety, and fear to children. In God’s Word, we are told that He will protect us. And God does not desire for us to live in constant fear. Yet we are bombarded with news, images on TV, the internet, books, and newspapers that can lead our children and us to all kinds of places of sin if we aren’t vigilant.
We are also reminded that the evil one is always looking for ways to attack when our guard is down. Ask for protection of your child’s mind, the heart, and their bodies. Remind yourself to put on the full armor of God so that we can take a stand against the attacks of the devil. And we should pray that same protection over our children.
UNCOMMEN CHALLENGE: After you pray this prayer over your child, walk around your house or apartment and pray for protection in each room of your home and the surrounding property. Ask God to give you discernment on areas that need extra protection.
