Love God Greatly Jamesনমুনা
Read: James 1:16-18
SOAP: James 1:16-18
James contrasts the struggle of the temptations we face with the reality of God’s goodness. Our God is good, righteous, holy, and just. He is deeply compassionate, perfectly loving, and infinitely faithful. There is no greater sacrifice than the priceless sum He paid for us through His Son Jesus. He laid His love on us when we had nothing to offer Him. When we doubt that God and all that He offers is good, we will resist obeying and serving Him. Believers must allow God’s truth in His Word to define our reality.
In what area of your life might you be questioning God’s goodness and faithfulness because of your unmet expectations? God is faithful to His commitment to a believer’s spiritual growth, and He faithfully acts in accordance with His character and promises. With whom are you sharing God’s goodness, grace, and mercy today?
Father God, I thank You that every good and perfect gift comes from You. I thank You for Your steady, consistent, and unchanging presence in my life. Remind me daily that You are ever-present and at work in my life regardless of how I feel or how things appear. Thank You for seeing me at my worst and giving me Your best. In Jesus' name. Amen.
