Illuminate: A 21-Day Journeyনমুনা

Day 10: The Beginning
Jesus’s coming was prophesied in the Old Testament. His coming, to those who believed, was like a great light that showed them a new way—a better way. Take a second and read Matthew 4:12–25 before reading the reflection. As you read this passage, focus on how Jesus fulfilled the prophet Isaiah’s prophecy and what he did next.
Reflection
Your ministry began the moment you said yes to Jesus. And like Jesus, you are the light to others around you who may not know the Good News of the gospel. Though you may not be called to preach in a pulpit, you are called to “preach” through your actions.
- When others see you, do they see something different in you?
- When you interact with others, do they feel the love of Christ?
- If you answered no to either of these questions, why not?

About this Plan

Coming off a retreat or revival? What next? You and I are the church of Jesus Christ on earth today, the visible representation of an invisible God. We have the Holy Spirit living within us, and have been commissioned to shine (illuminate) his love in the midst of a dark world. But what does that mean? How did we get here? And what do we do with all of this? All good questions, and if you stick with us through this journey, we are confident that the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to the light within you that God intends to use to illuminate the world!
