Praise for God’s Triumph
1Hallelujah!
Sing to the Lord a new song, # Ps 33:3
His praise in the assembly of the godly. # Ps 35:18; 89:5
2Let Israel celebrate its Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. # Ps 95:6; Zch 9:9
3Let them praise His name with dancing
and make music to Him with tambourine and lyre. # Ps 30:11; 81:2
4For Yahweh takes pleasure in His people; # Ps 147:11; Rm 8:8; 1Co 1:21
He adorns the humble with salvation. # Ps 35:27; Is 61:3
5Let the godly celebrate in triumphal glory;
let them shout for joy on their beds. # Jb 35:10; Ps 132:16
6Let the exaltation of God be in their mouths # Lit throat
and a double-edged sword in their hands, # Ps 66:17; Heb 4:12
7inflicting vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples, # Ezk 25:16-17; Mc 5:15
8binding their kings with chains
and their dignitaries with iron shackles, # Jb 36:8
9carrying out the judgment decreed against them.
This honor is for all His godly people. # Ps 148:14; Ezk 28:26
