Job 23:1-4

I love Rube Goldberg machines. They are elaborate, complicated systems that accomplish simple tasks. Usually they are many small things that work toward one bigger goal, but sometimes they can be a few big things that do something small.

The book of Job chronicles testing a righteous man's faith through suffering. Although Job's friends attempt to comfort him, it is only by God's revelation of His wisdom and might that Job finds true comfort. Even in deep suffering, God can do all things, and none of His purposes can be thwarted (Job 42:2).

The Bible says, 'O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.' We know God is committed to answering the prayers of His children, yet some pray without receiving answers. Prayer is meant to be a two-way communication between you and God, and He is always eager to respond. In this 28-day devotional, I will be sharing insights on how to pray effectively and receive answers from heaven.
