1and they have journeyed from Eilim, and the whole congregation of the children of Israel has arrived in wilderness of Sin which between Eilim and between Sinai, in fifteenth day of second month after their going out from land of Egypt.
2and the whole assembly of the children of Israel has murmured against Moshe and against Aaron in wilderness; 3and the children of Israel have to them said: if only would have we died by the hand of Hashem in land of Egypt when we were seated over meat when we have eaten bread to be satisfied/full; because you (PL) have us brought out into the this wilderness, to to kill the this whole assembly by hunger.
4has Hashem said to Moshe: behold, I make for you (PL) rain bread from heaven, and this people will go out and gather each day the need/amount for day, so that I shall it test if he will live in my instruction or not. 5and it will be, on sixth day, that they will measure what they will bring home, will it be two times as many as they gather on each day.
6and Moshe and Aaron have said to all children of Israel: in evening will you (PL) know, that Hashem has you (PL) brought out from land of Egypt; 7and in the morning will you (PL) see the glory of Hashem; because he has listened to your (PL) murmurings against Hashem. and what are we, whom you (PL) murmur against us? 8and Moshe has said: this will happen when Hashem will you (PL) give in evening meat to to eat, and in the morning bread to be satisfied/full; because Hashem has heard your (PL) murmurings which you (PL) murmur against him; and what are we? not against us are your (PL) murmurings, but against Hashem. 9and Moshe has said to Aaron: say to the whole congregation of the children of Israel: come near before Hashem, because he has listened to your (PL) murmurings.
10and it is having been, as Aaron has spoken to the whole congregation of the children of Israel, have they self looked to the wilderness, look the glory of Hashem has self appeared in the cloud. 11and Hashem has spoken to Moshe, thus to say: 12I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel. speak to them thus to say: at about evening will you (PL) to eat flesh, and in the morning will you (PL) self be satisfied with bread, and you (PL) will know, that I am Hashem your G-d.
13and it is having been in evening, are come up quails and have covered the camp; and in the morning is having been a layer of dew around about the camp. 14and when the layer of dew has self evaporated, look on surface of wilderness is fine, flakes, fine in same way as frost on the ground. 15and when the children of Israel have this seen, thus have they said one to another: what is this? because they have not known what this is. has Moshe to them said: this is the bread, which Hashem has for you (PL) given to to eat. 16this is the thing, which Hashem has commanded: gather of it each according his to eat; an omer on a head, according the number of of your (PL) persons, each for the which in his tent shall you (PL) take. 17and the children of Israel have thus done, and they have gathered who many and who few. 18and when they have measured with an omer, has the one who has gathered many not have had spare, and the one who has gathered few has not lacked; each relative to his eating have they gathered.
19and Moshe has to them said: no one shall of it not any leave over until in the morning. 20but they have not paid heed to Moshe, and people have left behind from it until in the morning, and it is having become full of worms, and has smelled bad; and Moshe has been angry with them. 21and they have it gathered morning by morning, each relative to his eating; and when the sun is hot having become, thus has it melted. 22and it is having been on sixth day, have they gathered two times as much bread, two omers for each; and all leaders of the congregation are having come, and have told Moshe.
23has he to them said: this is what Hashem has spoken: a resting, a holy Shabbos is next day to Hashem; what you (PL) will bake bake, and what you (PL) will cook cook/boil, and all that which remains over, place/serve you (PL) away to keep until in the morning. 24have they it laid away until in the morning, just as Moshe has commanded, and it has not smelled bad, and any worms are in it not having been.
25and Moshe has said: eat it today, because today is Shabbos to Hashem, today will you (PL) it not find on field. 26six days shall you (PL) it gather, but on seventh day is Shabbos, then will it not do.
27and it is having been on seventh day, are from people having come out to gather, but they have not found. 28has Hashem said to Moshe: to whence will you (PL) not be willing to keep a watch over my commandments and my torah/learning? 29see, that Hashem has for you (PL) given the Shabbos, gives he you (PL) for that reason in sixth day bread for two days. sit/remain each by self; anyone shall not go out of his place in seventh day.
30and this people has rested in seventh day.
31and this house of Israel has called the name of it manna; and it is having been just like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it is having been just like a cracker upon honey.
32and Moshe has said: this is the thing which Hashem has commanded: an omer full of it shall be for a keepsake on your (PL) generation after generation, so that they shall see this bread which I have you (PL) given to eat in the wilderness, when I have you (PL) brought out from land of Egypt.
33and Moshe has said to Aaron: take a jug, and do there put into an omer full manna, and stand it away before Hashem, for a keepsake on your (PL) generation after generation. 34just as Hashem had commanded Moshe, thus has it Aaron placed before the aron/ark, for a keepsake.
35and the children of Israel have eaten the manna forty years, until they are having come to reside/live in the land; they have eaten the manna until they are having come to edge of land of Canaan. 36and an omer this is a tenth of an ephah.
